Artifacts from the Past

My grandmother was always keeping in a special place old photos of her grandparents. She used to non-stop tell me the stories about their life adventures. I always thought that they were some characters of fiction movies. Even now I remember all stories of each photo. But in the Parascandola family archival footage is losing its importance. Some of the photos are unidentified. By losing their value they have become ghosts from the past - as subjects without emotional engagement. This short experimental project is about my and Matthew Parascandola’s dialogue about photos, wondering who those people might be, and imagining their lives. To help my viewers better visualize and connect with the photos I have edited them and gave them some motion.
